The initial shape of the ship was done using the polygonal lasso tool in Photoshop. Started out with a bunch of random shapes then picked a few of the best and most interesting then worked into them. Took around 47 mins.

Back to trees, I felt the last tree scenery was worked into too much, so went for a more simple approach with this one. Slowly getting better at depth and being more loose with these types of paintings. 21 mins.

As mentioned previously, I'm going back to doing super quick random shapes again for speedpaintings. Just trying out a few new brushes I made as well. This one took 20 mins.

Another favourite, though I did get a little carried away again. Going to go back to drawing the super quick simple shaped speedpaintings.

This speedpainting took slightly longer than the other ones, admittedly I did get slightly carried away with this one, however it is my favourite so far! This one took about 52 mins.

Really happy with this one, even though it is really simple. I was mainly experimenting with colours and different brushes for this piece, took around 44 mins.

Finally a colour speedpainting! This one could have been done a bit quicker, but throughout the drawing I couldn't decide how I wanted it to look, so lots of things changed and I backtracked a little. But I'm fairly happy with the outcome.

Still not too sure if I like this one or not, but it's something. Anywho, this is the last greyscale speedpainting, tomorrow there will be a full colour one!

The most simple and quickest one yet, this one took around 17 mins.

Day 2! Still looking at cityscape type environments since it is something I don't draw that often. This one took about 27 minutes. Also I have decided that I'm going to update my blog daily for a week or so with these daily speedpaintings, and then after that update here every few days from then on. However I plan on doing these daily speedpaintings for at least a month or so, but they would just be uploaded in one post instead of daily.

Recently I've been doing 'daily speed paintings' just to try out different styles and approaches, and to learn how to paint quickly. I'm hoping to get at least one of these done a day, but not sure whether to update my blog daily yet, or just have one post of daily speedpaints rounded up at the end of the week.
